The most popular form of dominoes is a two-player game, but it can also be played with three or four players. Four can be divided into teams to play two against two.
The main objective of the game is to complete a chain of domino rectangles from your drawn dominoes before your opponent, and to remain without dice. If both opponents have no moves, the winner is the player with the lowest amount of dominoes in his hand.
The dominoes consist of a rectangle divided into two halves, each half of which may contain between 0 and 6 dominoes.
In order to better understand the rules of dominoes, it is possible to go through the game immediately. The dominoes game consists of a total of 28 game pieces, with the players turning over all the rectangles by flipping them over and drawing 7 pieces first - these are the starting pieces.
To see who goes first, both players draw one domino and count the total amount of points on the dominoes, with the higher number starting the game.
The game starts by placing the first piece on the table, and then both players must take turns to extend the chain of dominoes by placing the appropriate piece. In this case, the pieces are all the decks in your hand that have a score on one side equal to the active piece on the table.
If a player does not have such a piece in his hand, he draws an additional piece from the face-down deck. If no suitable piece is drawn, the draw proceeds until a suitable piece is found, at which point the turn passes to the opponent, and if the opponent does not also have a suitable piece, the draw of the extra deck takes place again.
The game is ended when either opponent no longer has a piece in his hand. It is also possible for both players to simply have no more moves, although they still have pieces in their hands. The sum of the dominoes held by both players is then calculated. The player with the lower sum wins the game.
